Plans change every day!

So our plan for enjoying the level or descending elevation yesterday did not come to fruition! Rebecca had another spoke break on her rear wheel. Mike called the last repair shop from the morning repair and they suggested a new rim was in order but he did not have one. Eric in Reno had one and could be here mid day to fix and then we could get back on the road. Soooo, all I can say is the people of Stagecoach, NV are the most awesome, down to earth, and generous people! The 4 of us showed up at Sliding Clydes which is one of 3 businesses in a strip building and as with much of our ride in the second state on our tour, the only businesses for miles! Thankfully we were met with an unbelievable generosity! Dale and Cherie, owners of SC's, let us set up camp behind the building, gave The kids money to buy dinner (great pizza next door), and then gave James a lesson on a 4 wheeler and then let him ride it around on his own later! Needless to say James did not want to leave here ever! James was also enthralled with the stories by Ed of his work on the "Red Team". Ed is involved in testing of equipment that keeps soldiers safe in war after many years serving our country in many wars. James had seen the Red Team successes on tv and described to Ed what he had learned! They figured a way to run a hummve by computer and be unmanned. Wow! James was so awe struck! We met many other great folks...dianne, jack, Charlie, Ed, Dan, scott, Mohammed,Randy, and many others!
