It wasn't the spray, wasn't the heat, let's just say, it's one of those things if you know what I mean! She toughed it out as long as she could be 20 miles is all we went this day and then to the side of the road to try and get some relief. We spent 45 -1 hr waiting for a possible pick up truck heading in our direction but they all turned off. I knew of one nice red pick up truck down the road though! Yup, our new friends the Josts! Gary gave us a ride all the way to Nickerson and even threw James and bike in when we got 20 more miles down the road. Mike and James had made good time in the 1 1/2hrs that had passed. Mike liked the idea of riding with peace and quiet and stayed on the road. It actually was a beautiful area through a wildlife reserve with amazing birds everywhere! Mike hated the bugs and road conditions but the ride was "great"! No pool in Nickerson but the kids and I held up in a Kwik Stop with AC for a couple of hours and enjoyed a shower under a water pump! Mike made it in great time.
