Day 49 -July 17 -to Pittsburg

What a day for riding! Cool, dry and sunny! A perfect summer day. I
have to say just like our last xcountry tour, this trip has been
blessed with incredible weather! It rains for a short time when it
does. We did have off and on rain all day on July 15 but if it hadn't,
that could have been a triple digit day again so we all enjoyed the
break from the sun! Pittsburg is another city with incredible parks!
The pool was amazing with great slides and even a little "lazy river
tube ride". I was almost too chilled to feel the need at the end of
the day! I rode with James today and at the last break, we hopped on
our bikes and tried to beat the other 2 into town! What a great ride
in! When James turns on the heat boy can he pedal like the wind! For
15 miles we stayed above 16mi/hr! He did this the day before too when
we passed some greyhound dogs fenced in. When he realized the dogs
wanted to race, he started his sprint and took off, beating them in
the end. He kept it going and the Bently took off after James and they
beat us by a long shot into Chanute! Too funny!
