Day 63- July 31

Exploring Henderson. James with John Audubon and gun! There were
sculptures all over the city pertaining to Audubon and taken from his
paintings. James and John are sitting where a grist and saw mill once
stood. It was an enterprise that Audubon and his brother in law tried
but it failed due to a poor wheat crop and slow down of logging
industry. Building and machinery were deficient from the start also.
Obviously Audubon knew how to recover from disaster though and became
the world famous orinthologist and painter that we all know of.
